Mr. Rod's Seafood is a division of TilaRod Costa Rica. TilaRod began
business in 2001 and is located in the mountains of Venecia San Carlos, Costa Rica. Our farm produces Tilapia exclusively
for export to the United States. Our business has grown throughout the years and we wanted to give others
around the country the ability to purchase seafood of high quality exclusive to the South Florida area. We found that
the Internet was the perfect place to accomplish our goal and started Mr. Rod's Seafood.
We take great pride in our products and Mr. Rod's Seafood is the only on-line retailer that provides
our Tilapia. We attribute much of the success of our Tilapia to our water supply which originates in the beautiful mountains
of San Carlos. The quality and temperature of our water supply, along with the high-quality, grain-based pellets
fed to our Tilapia ensure a consistent mild flavored fillet.
We handle our products under the strictest guidelines to ensure
consumer safety and to meet the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HAACP) requirements.
